Kava Kavasseurs Unite!

A Kava Kavasseur is someone who loves the taste, effects, and history of Kava Kava (Piper methysticum). Most of all, a Kavasseur appreciates Kava culture, and the sense of well-being Kava Kava brings to those who partake in it. Whether introduced to the Kavasseur as a way of dealing with stress or anxiety; during a trip to Tonga, Vanuatu, Fiji, Hawaii, or the Solomon Islands; or simply by trying to discover a good, safe high; this blog is for those of us who have experienced the glory of Kava Kava and can't imagine life without it. Join us in our goal of collecting links to Kava-related sites, reviewing Kava varieties and brands, and providing a space for Kavasseurs to express themselves!

  1. I gotta say, the first time I ever heard of Kava was in a tea that I bought from Whole Foods. I loved it. But then I found Nakamal at home and got the real stuff. Incredible! I've tried to get my friends into it and it has worked. Currently I have a bag of Niugini that I make when things are particularly hectic. I am on prescription meds for depression and anxiety and insomnia. Most of the time, they don't work and they have extremely unpleasant side-effects. But if I just have two-three shells of Niugini kava, I'm smiling, focused, and get some of the best sleep I've ever gotten. Some of my friends and I even went on an alcohol-free stint and instead of serving booze at parties, we served kava and only kava. That was well worth it.
I'm glad I found this blog and I will be checking back often and commenting when I can.
    Be well!
